Newcastle resident Mickey Rose has a dream. For a time, he ran an unofficial campaign for President of the United States.
That dream came to an end, at least this year, as the filing period to be on the ballot in Oklahoma came to a close and Rose chose not to file.
In a prepared statement to the Newcastle Pacer, Rose said, “I am withdrawing from the 2024 United States Presidential Race. I will remain active, serve as an outspoken advocate for the American People, and fight to restore decency, and respect within the political process.
“I will support those leaders and political hopefuls who are genuinely committed to serving the best interests of our nation & our people. I will stand up to all who hinder our nation’s progress, attempt to dilute our Constitution, and erode our national hope and unity.”
Rose said he will still be active in politics helping others to understand the political process, and focusing on the importance of achieving the American dream.
Rose said, “The United States is a beacon of light, attracting people from around the world in search of a better life. Freedom is only a dream for some. Many people across the globe live in places where they are deprived of hope, freedom, opportunity, and justice.
“TheUnitedStatesofAmerica is the only nation where it is literally possible for anyone to achieve their dreams.”
