Newcastle All Sports Association says baseball and softball seasons are almost here, and they are in the process of planning.
They recently announced what they are offering this year. It is the following:
Wee Ball
Sign ups are available now for Wee Ball. Wee Ball consists of 3U and 4U. All games will be played at the Newcastle Baseball Fields during the week. NASA is not doing full team sign ups this year, only individuals.
Parents and guardians requesting a coach are asked to please make sure to note that at registration.
Fees to umpires will be paid by each team at the plate each week. Sign ups will end no later than March 1. The registration fee for Wee Ball is $30 per player.
Baseball
Baseball sign ups are also getting underway, and NASA baseball is now part of the Washita Valley league.
NASA officials said they were “super excited for a place for our baseball kiddos in 5U-12U to have a league to play in.”
Officials said to head over to Newcastle All Sports Association to get your child signed up. The age groups will be 5U, 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U.
Sign ups will end no later than March 1. The registration fee for baseball is $60.
Participants should note that NASA will be using the OK Kids rules. This means you cannot have more than three players on your team who do not attend school in Newcastle or live in Newcastle.
Softball
Sign ups are also beginning for softball. NASA is also now part of the Washita Valley/South Central Softball League. Organizers said they are excited to be able to offer this for Newcastle’s girls.
The age groups will be 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U. There will be a preseason tournament that teams are required to play in on March 30 through April 4. Sign ups end no later than March 1. The registration fee for softball is $60.
Softball is also using the OK Kids rules. Again, this means you cannot have more than three players on your roster who do not attend school or live in Newcastle.
