Quilts of Valor presented to Veterans

Newcastle Nighttime Needlers Quilt Guild, a group of women who volunteer their time throughout the year making patriotic quilts known as Quilts of Valor, presented the quilts November 14 to area veterans for their service and sacrifice to the nation. Eleven of the recipients are, from top left to right: Randel Clift, A.J. Stanford, Phillip Wulz, Alvin Potts, Carolyn (James) Robertson; bottom, William Beattie, Danielle Clift, William Scales, Raymond Dillman, David Johnson, and Clark Paxton.
