The COOP Ale Works Beats & Bites Festival, which features live music, local food trucks and other entertainment, completed its seventh year at Riverwind Casino having drawn over 23,000 fans over its four installments.

The final Beats & Bites show for 2023, featuring alternative rock bands Gin Blossoms and Tonic on Oct. 22, attracted over 3,000 ticket buyers. That raised the overall season attendance to 23,487.

Previous Beats & Bites shows this year featured American classic rock bands 38 Special and Blue Öyster Cult on May 27; country music performers Mark Chesnutt, Shenandoah and Tracy Byrd on July 8; and country star Gary Allan on Aug. 26.

“The COOP Ale Works Beats & Bites Festival shows have become some of the most popular for residents in the surrounding areas,” said Justin Yahola, Riverwind Casino’s general manager. “It is such a unique event, as popular artists and local food trucks come together with a focus on having fun activities for all ages.

“Beats & Bites continues to show success because of the concertgoers who come out and have a great time singing, dancing and laughing together.”

Tickets for each Beats & Bites show cost $10 per person, with children 12 and under attending free. Beats & Bites events feature an array of food trucks and other vendors on-site, along with other entertainment including Rumble the Bison and the OG&E ThunderBolt.

Beats & Bites is scheduled to return in 2024, with the acts and dates to be announced early in the year. For more information on the festival or for events at Riverwind Casino, visit Riverwind.com.
