Red Rock Behavioral Health has been named as the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), supporting Cleveland and McClain Counties. CCBHCs are a new provider type in Medicaid being offered across Oklahoma, under the leadership and vision of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMSAS).

A celebration will be at 4 p.m. on November 21 at the Noun Hotel in Norman.

Red Rock and ODMHSAS are extending an invitation to all community partners, stakeholders and advocates from both counties. On the day’s agenda will be speeches by state legislators, Red Rock’s Chief Executive Officer Verna Foust, and ODMHSAS Commissioner Carrie Slatton-Hodges.

CCBHCs are designed to provide a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use disorder services to vulnerable individuals.

CCBHCs represent an opportunity for states to improve the behavioral health of their citizens by: providing community-based mental and substance use disorder services; advancing behavioral health with physical health care; assimilating and utilizing evidence-based practices on a more consistent basis; and improved access to high-quality care.

A spokesperson said, “Care coordination is the linchpin holding these aspects of CCBHC care together and ensuring highquality care and improved outcomes.”
