Newcastle has new credit card processor, new services

Residents can pay one time, set up autopay

A new credit card processor was announced for City of Newcastle utility customers and started October 27. Customers were asked to create a new online account when paying online, or to set up autopay.

The new company, Invoice-Cloud, supports a wider range of payment options, according to city officials, and should be more user friendly.

Available at newcastleok. gov/pay, area residents with utility accounts can pay one time or can create an account to set up autopay and to access extended features.

The City drafts automatic payments on the 10th of each month, and it takes 48 hours for a registration to go through.

They said if you are signing up (registering for an account) on the 8th or 9th of a month, please pay your current invoice using the “pay now” button to ensure you avoid any late fees or other penalties.

“When registering, information that is kept is safe and secure — backed by the highest security standards,” states the City’s website. You can pay with eCheck, credit cards, Venmo, Apple Pay, PayPal, or G Pay.

Walk-in payments and checks sent through the U.S. Postal Service are still accepted, and automatic payment through a bank draft is also still available. Automatic bank drafts are taken out on the 7th day of the month, the website states.

The City website states if you have any questions or concerns, call them at 405-3874427 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or or email utilityhelp@newcastleok. gov.
