Williams girls seeing success fishing for bass

Newcastle Fishing duo Katelynne Williams and Kaleigh Williams placed third at the Lake Murray Tournament and then placed fifth in the Lake Texoma Tournament.

At Lake Murray, the girls finished with 7.54 pounds of fish, including a 3.33 pounder.

At Texoma, they had a 2.54 pound bass which helped them get to 7.81 pounds of fish total.

The Williams are currently in second place for total points on the season with 994, just behind a team from Oologah-Talala that has 996 points.

The Williams compete as part of the Oklahoma High School Fishing Trail, sanctioned by the Student Angler Federation, an amateur organization.
