McClain County 4-H held their annual awards banquet in Purcell on Friday, October 27. Newcastle4-Hhadseveralwinners in many different areas.

A 4-H Record Book is the way members use to report whattheydidduringtheirtime in 4-H. Every year they add the current year’s activities. Newcastle had several members turn in record books this year.

This is a list of your Newcastle winners and what medals they were awarded:

• Archer Beatty: Cloverbud Record Book

• Aniston Williams: STEM

• Harper Perkins: Public Speaking, 4th grade 1st place winner

•JonathanHuff:Citizenship, 5th grade 2nd place winner

• Cooper Beatty: Poultry, 5th grade 1st place winner

• Abigail Williams: Breads, 6th grade 1st place winner

• Macy Bradley: Swine, 6th grade 5th place winner

• Allison Wiles: Horse, 7th grade 4th place winner

•MarleeLowden:SmallAnimals, 8th grade 1st place winner

• Kreas Richards: Citizenship, 10th grade 2nd place winner

• Annelise Huff: Shooting Sports, 10th grade 3rd place winner

• Theresa Howard: Veterinary Science, 10th grade 1st place winner

• Neva Howard: Achievement, 12th grade 1st place winner

• Graci Osborn: Achievement, 12thgrade2ndplacewinner Senior records books are not just judged at the county level, but also they are judged at the state level. Record books from all 77 counties are judged. For the top three books in each project area the youth go to Stillwater for an in-person interview. This year Newcastle had three interviews: Krea Richards, and Theresa and Neva Howard. They received a congratulatory citation from State Representative Sherrie Conley (R-Newcastle). From the interviews Theresa Howard was awarded a $1,200 scholarship.

Additional awards were presented to the following:

• Abigail Willams was awarded outstanding bread project, and the intermediate division winner for outstanding leadership.

• Harper Perkins was awarded junior outstanding 4-H member, and junior outstanding citizenship.

• Marlee Lowden was awarded intermediate outstanding 4-H member.

• Cooper Beatty was awarded 2022 junior outstanding fair exhibitor, and junior outstanding leadership.

•AllisonWileswasawarded 2022intermediateoutstanding fair exhibitor.

• Annelise Huff was awarded 2022senioroutstandingfair exhibitor.

• Theresa Howard was awarded 2023 senior outstanding fair exhibitor.

• Neva Howard was awarded outstanding citizenship and received a $1,200 level three scholarship.

•KreasRichardswasinducted into the Oklahoma 4-H Key Club.

• Graci Osborn was awarded McClain County 4-H Hall of Fame. With this honor she is awarded a $500 scholarship.
