The Swing for Success golf tournament fundraiser initially planned for October 21 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for next year.
The event, planned to help support Business and Professionals of America and Skills for Success students at Newcastle High School, is being rescheduled for spring in order to garner more community participation.
Sponsorships and team sign-ups will reopen on December 1, 2023, and sponsorship forms are due by April 1, 2024, said organizers. A new date for the golf tournament will be announced on December 1.
“I would like to extend my deepest thanks to our sponsors and teams who had committed to this event,” said organizers Jeffrey Duncan, Chance Scott and Kim Banfield. “Your support means the world to us, and we will reach out individually this week to discuss the upcoming Spring event.
“We sincerely hope you will join us again, and we are excited about the prospect of making the rescheduled event even more impactful for our students. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
