As October progresses, there’s a buzz of excitement building among families and young trick-or-treaters! Haunt the Trail 2023 promises to light up Veterans Park with Halloween joy from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, October 28.
Parks Director Kyle Marks said, “Our dedicated community businesses and civic groups will be preparing some fantastic surprises for our little attendees. Whether you’re just setting out on your trick-or-treat journey or have been a Halloween fan for years, there’s something special in store for every child.”
Attendees can eagerly anticipate a variety of booths teeming with delightful treats, enchanting tricks, engaging games, and delicious food bites. And speaking of costumes, the little ones are in for some fun-filled surprises!“ While our primary audience is the children of Newcastle, we encourage everyone to come, dress up, and revel in the joyous spirit,” Marks said. “This is our community’s time to shine, connecting over laughter, playful spooks, and memorable moments. Let’s ensure every child goes home with a bag full of treats and a heart full of memories.”
And if stormy clouds loom? No worries! The Parks Department is geared up to ensure a smooth and joyous celebration, come rain or shine.
