Country stars, comedian join line up for Riverwind Casino

Shows featuring country music artists Carly Pearce and Justin Moore and comedian Jo Koy have been added to Riverwind Casino’s 2023 performance lineup, adding to a list already packed with well-known artists.

Pearce will perform on October 14 and Moore on November 18 inside Riverwind Casino’s Showplace Theatre, joining a run of country shows that also will include Joe Nichols and Tyler Farr, Aaron Lewis, Flatland Cavalry and Lee Brice, all before the end of the calendar year. Koy is set for a January 27 performance, the second January show announced so far by Riverwind. To kick off 2024, legendary R&B act Boyz II Men will play a January 12 concert.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Carly Pearce has come a long way from the pain she felt writing her critically acclaimed and commercially lauded third studio album 29.

Pearce continues to resonate with her honest lyrics and timeless musicality, earning her fourth No. 1 at country radio with “What He Didn’t Do.” Lighting a fire with her debut album Every Little Thing and the platinum-certified historymaking title track, Carly’s three-time platinum-certified “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Lee Brice won both the 2020 CMA Awards Musical Event and 2021 ACM Awards Music Event, plus ACM Single of the Year.

Justin Moore – 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18 Multi-platinum hitmaker Justin Moore has built a loyal following over the past decade with his traditional country sound and captivating live shows. Climbing the country radio charts with his current single, “With a Woman You Love,” the emotional tune follows in the footsteps of his 10th No. 1 hit, “We Didn’t Have Much,” which is featured on his eight-track collection of tunes, ‘Straight Outta The Country.’

The Arkansas native’s extensive fanbase helped boost his fifth studio album, Late Nights and Longnecks, to the top of the charts upon its release. Lead track “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” and follow-up “Why We Drink” both peaked at No. 1 on both Mediabase and Billboard.

Moore’s previous project, Kinda Don’t Care, earned the singer his third consecutive No. 1 album debut and features his chart-topping singles “You Look Like I Need A Drink” and “Somebody Else Will.” It served as a follow up to his second No. 1 album release, the gold-certified Off the Beaten Path.

Jo Koy – 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27

As one of today’s premiere stand-up comedians, Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings performing in a Las Vegas coffee house. Koy’s uniquely relatable comedy pulls inspiration from his colorful family that has reached all kinds of people and has translated into soldout arenas around the world.

In 2022, Koy kicked off his Funny Is Funny World Tour by selling-out the Climate Pledge Arena (more than 14,000 tickets) in his hometown of Seattle and ended the tour with a sold-out show at Tacoma Dome (more than 19,000 tickets).

Today, he continues breaking sales records at some of the most prestigious venues around the world including Mall of Asia Arena (Manila, Philippines), The Forum (Los Angeles), Coca-Cola Arena (Dubai),ICCTheatre(Sydney, Australia), Radio City Music Hall(NewYorkCity),andFTX Arena (Miami, Fla.) to name a few. This past November, Koy sold-out Madison Square Garden for the first time, marking another milestone for the comedian.

Koy recently starred in the Universal Picture film Easter Sunday, set around a family gathering to celebrate Easter Sunday, the comedy is based on Jo Koy’s life experiences and stand-up comedy. Easter Sunday is currently available on Blu-ray, DVD and on-demand.
