Qualified for State Golf The Newcastle Golf team (photo above) of Carston Pueppke, Radek McCaskill, Connor Bussum, Cayden Viss, and Keaton Fuksa placed sixth at the Regional Golf Tournament May 7 at McAlester Country Club. They played as a team at the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association Class 5A State Tournament at Muskogee Golf & Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
Played at State Golf Haylee James and Katelyn Kates (right) were playing as individuals at the OSSAA Class 5A State Golf Championship. James placed 45th, and Kates placed 57th. The tournament was called after the first day of play in the two-day tournament because of rain. • photos provided
